Boccone South, Short Hills

An Italian restaurant is relocating within Essex County, under a newly announced lease by Midtown Commercial Realty.

The brokerage firm represented Boccone South, a family-owned trattoria previously based in South Orange, in securing the new space at 519 Millburn Ave. in the Short Hills section of Millburn. It did not disclose the size of the lease.

“After the owner informed us that he would lose his lease in his current building, we were able to relocate this beloved South Orange restaurant to a great space in Short Hills,” Cheryl Darmanin and Nicole James, managing directors with Midtown Commercial, said in a joint statement. “This new location allowed him to grow his customer base while retaining his raving fans from his previous location. We managed all of this on a very tight deadline and delivered Boccone a turnkey property with all the necessary equipment. Personally, we are also ecstatic that it’s much closer to our office!”
